Gevako Firmware Installer

Install or update the firmware on your Gevako RS5 or RS6 directly from your browser. No software installation required, this tool communicates directly with your device via USB. Choose your product below to get started.

Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

Procedure

  1. Connect the device to your PC/laptop using a USB cable.
  2. Choose your product.
  3. Click “Connect”.
  4. Select “USB JTAG/serial debug unit (COMxx)”.
  5. Click “Connect”.
  6. Now click “Install Gevako xxx”.
  7. You will then be asked to confirm the installation. Click “Install”.
  8. The device will now be installed.
  9. Once the installation is finished, you will see the message “Installation complete!”. Click “Next”, then close the window.
  10. If the green LED does not start flashing, restart the Gevako product by briefly removing and then reconnecting the USB. Otherwise, proceed to the next step.
  11. Reconnect to Wi-Fi and restart the product if the green LED does not stay lit after 30 seconds.
  12. The product is ready for use.

Does the COM port disappear or do you get the message “Failed to initialize”?

Then do the following.
  1. Completely power down the Gevako product and disconnect the USB cable.
  2. Wait 5 seconds until the red LED is completely off.
  3. Now press and hold the Boot button (B). Then, connect the USB cable to the product.
  4. Wait 3 seconds after the red LED is on and release the Boot button (B).
  5. Refresh the page and try installing once again.
